CFL = Cold, Frustrating Light?

My friend Kendall is not impressed with compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs). He doesn't like the light they emit and he's worried about the mercury in them.

I totally understand his concerns and would ask all with questions to check out this EnergyStar factsheet for some very specific information on the bulbs.
