Everybody is catching on.
What a glut of local eco articles the week of 4/25!
CityBeat's cover story asks some interesting questions about who should be exposed to pollution.
From Margo Peirce's piece: "...Poor people and minorities don't have the money or power to fight back, and regulatory officials turn a blind eye, so polluting businesses concentrate in these areas."
Be sure to ogle the photographs accompanying the story, as they were taken by my good buddy Joe Lamb.
CinWeekly in getting in on the eco-action, too. Their cover story is about eating locally-produced food. Imagine how many fewer pollutants we'd have if none of our grub was trucked in since, as the article notes, "On average, most food travels 1,500 miles from farm to table."
