Yes, Virginia, there is a way to recycle live Christmas trees.


Don't throw away your Christmas tree after the holidays. Boone County Public Works will recycle it into mulch!

Let me make sure I got this right. All I gotta do is show up with some bags or some such buckets at the places listed on the 5th and theyll fill them up with free mulch for me? I ain't even gotta bring a tree?

Yep, free mulch. Granted, it's not of the highest caliber but it is free mulch from recycled trees.

Just check the times on the flyer. The crews will be at each site mulching around the time on the flyer. So, since you need to have your tree dropped off before 10 a.m. at the old Florence city building, you can figure that the crews will be there, making mulch, around 10.
