Becky, recycling in Boone County would be easier if the info on the website were complete and accurate. Case in point: antifreeze recycling. It seems that Boone County does not accept the type of antifreeze used in most vehicles made since the late 90's. Wish I knew before I drove to Burlington!
Thank you so much for bringing this to my attention. To be honest, I had no idea that our garage at Public Works restricts which antifreeze can be recycled.
The disposal webpage (http://www.boonecountyky.org/BCSWM/hwwauto.aspx) has been updated and we're researching a system that would allow us to recycle all kinds of antifreeze.
