Breakthrough Cure for the Old Shoe Blues

As faithful readers will no doubt recall, I have a shoe purchasing problem. I know I can't be the only sufferer of this crippling disease so I offer the following resources to you, in an attempt to appease my failing footwear karma.

To Recycle Tennis Shoes -

The RC Durr YMCA will take your gently-used old tennis shoes and donate them to needy families home and abroad.

Nike's Recycling Center will accept your stinky sneakers and use them to make new basketball courts and such. The only problem is that you have to ship your misshapen shoes to them ... Consider the environmental footprint (hah!) of shipping, if you please.
